Regional and Distance Library Services
Regional and Distance Library Services are offered to current UNBC students, faculty and staff located at our regional campuses or enrolled in distance courses.
All students, faculty, and staff are registered with the Geoffrey R. Weller Library within 24 hours from course registration; this normally enables users to access their library account and online library resources with their campus login if they hold a current University ID. If you experience any issues with library access, please contact the library.
There are two possible login methods available for users to access library resources, providing that they have both been setup: your campus login and your library barcode and PIN method.
- The alternative to the campus login method is your library barcode and PIN. You may need to contact the library to set this method up if you have not obtained a UNBC ID card.
- If you are unable to login to library resources with your campus login, please contact us and we will activate or update your library barcode and PIN. The library barcode and PIN login can be used immediately after we update it in our library system.
- You may also find it helpful to refer to our login troubleshooting information for some general tips about accessing library resources.
It is VERY IMPORTANT for Regional and Distance users to login to My Library Account to verify that your address and telephone number are current. If you are a new faculty or staff member, a new student, or have had a recent change in your student status, or need to update your address, please contact the Office of the Registrar to do so. A current address is required to ensure that any physical material requests are sent to the correct campus or home address.
Please note: If you obtain a new UNBC ID at anytime in the future it will take 24 hours for our library system to be updated with your new library barcode, however, your university credentials should continue to work for accessing electronic library resources.
